Meet The Artist
James Severson
I am a tattoo artist at Black Coffin Tattoo in Saint Paul, MN. I graduated from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2016 with a BFA in Illustration and started tattooing in 2019.
I am a very versatile tattooer. I like doing both black and grey and color. Everything I tattoo is totally custom and original. The styles I enjoy doing the most are neo-traditional, black and grey realism and patch tattoos.
I do not typically do anything Tribal, Polonesian, or family portraits. (exception to pets, I love to do pet portraits!)
Outside of my Life of Tattooing, I love my family. Im a Father. I’m married to Ashley Severson ( @smashleynice ) we have a daughter (Izzy) and a German Shepherd/Chao (Bruno). I love My Harley Davidson and I love Heavy Music!
